SARAH ANNA (HUGHES) PINKSTON, 96, of New Ulm, Texas, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022, at her home. She was born April 2, 1926, in Dexter, Missouri, the daughter of Nobel and Pearl (Bolton) Hughes. Sarah grew up and attended schools in the Michigan area, graduating from Trenton High School. After graduation, she enrolled in the Nursing program and later work in the medical field as an LVN. Sarah was united in marriage to Freeman Pinkston. She was a member of the Alter Guild at her church. In her spare time, Sarah enjoyed knitting, and she was known by her family as an amazing cook. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter: Juanita Romans and her husband, James Snyder, of New Ulm; sons: Don Pinkston and his wife, Brenda, of Nebraska, and Richard Pinkston of Michigan; grandchildren: Ric Flores, Richard Pinkston, Jr., Taylor Pinkston, Tanner Pinkston, and Rebecca Conti; eight great-grandchildren; her special nephews: Keith Hughes, and Ed Maurer; and numerous nieces, other nephews, family, and dear friends. Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Freeman Pinkston; and her parents: Nobel and Pearl Hughes.
