Sean Francis Mcquhae, Sr.

Sean Francis McQuhae, Sr., 84, of Waller, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020, at his home.

Sean was born October 11, 1935, in Dallas, Texas, the son of Charles Allen and Frances (King) McQuhae.  He grew up and attended school in Corpus Christi, Texas. A 1954 graduate of Corpus Christi College Academy, Sean was a cheerleader his senior year.  He then earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas A & I University in Kingsville, TX.

On November 8, 1963, Sean married Sue Nell Marshall in Kountz, Texas.  They have most recently made their home in Waller, Texas.

During his working years, Sean was employed as a buyer and department manager for HEB. He worked as a store manager for other grocery store chains. For two years he owned his own grocery store in East Texas. He also served on Groves, Texas city council.  He enjoyed golfing and gardening, especially growing roses.

He is survived by his wife:  Sue McQuhae of Waller; stepson:  Daryl Marshall of Silsbee; son:  Sean F. McQuhae, Jr. of Monroe, Louisiana; daughter:  Angela McKenzie of Houston; son:  Patrick McQuhae of Hopewell, Virginia; daughter:  Sara Lee of Navasota; son:  Christopher McQuhae of Waller; son:  Allen McQuhae of Irving; and sister: Patricia McQuhae Rimar of Corpus Christi; 23 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; numerous other relatives and many friends.  Sean was preceded in death by his parents, his stepdaughter:  Karla Sue Landry; and brothers:  Charles Allen McQuhae and Kevin McQuhae.
