Sheri Livsey Gruener
was born May 25, 1962, to Roy Albert and Ann Griffin Livsey in Houston, TX. She grew up in Humble, TX where she attended Humble schools, graduated from Humble High School and was a member of the Baptist Church.
Sheri loved to laugh and had a talent for finding the humorous thread in even troubling circumstances. If she got on a roll telling medical stories, she could keep you in stitches (no pun intended) until she quit. She could find the funny even in her own mistakes and mishaps.
She was short but the gas pedal was never beyond her reach.
Medicine was her passion. She worked in the medical field and though never went to med school, she studied like a doctor and managed to maintain legible handwriting. One time, when her dad was in the hospital shortly before he died, he told his doctor she was a brain surgeon. When she entered the room the doctor showed her the x-rays and spoke in techno-babble (which she understood). She quickly figured out something was awry.
She was an active person and enjoyed reading, traveling, driving fast, being with her family and socializing with her many friends.
She is survived by: Robert Gruener, Jr; Daughter: Christina Quaid of Smithville; Son: Travis Gruener of Pattison; Granddaughter: Lydia Richardson and Great Granddaughter Aria Torres of Kansas; Mother: Ann Chandonia of Dallas; Brother: George Livsey and wife Margarita of Dallas; several Nieces, Nephews, and numerous friends.
Sheri was preceded in death by her father, Roy Albert Livsey.
