Shirley Joy (Smith) Halfen

SHIRLEY JOY (SMITH) HALFEN), 86, of Bellville, Texas, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022, in Bellville. She was born July 22, 1935, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of Chester Henry and Ethel Anne (Fry) Smith. Shirley grew up and attended schools in the St. Paul area. She was united in marriage to John Halfen, II. She was employed as a tag maker for Acme Tag. Shirley was also a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed beadwork, playing cards, and dancing in her spare time. She is survived by her sons: Gary Darwin and his wife, Janis, of Bellville, Charlie Jorgensen of Maple Grove, MN, and Michael Jorgensen and his wife, Sue, of Big Lake, MN; sister: Carol Stephens and her husband, Bob, of Riverton, UT; and numerous other family members and dear friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband: John Halfen, II; her parents: Chester and Ethel Smith; and her daughter: Sue Jorgensen.
