Steven Lynn Hammond, 72, of Bellville, Texas, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023, in Katy, Texas.
Steven was born February 11, 1950, in Houston, Texas, to John L. and Annie Lou Lynn. He grew up in the Houston area and graduated from Sam Houston High School. Steven was employed as a Plant Operator for over 21 years with Akzo Nobel Polymer Chemical.
In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, and fishing, riding around on his buggy, playing on his phone, hanging out with his animals, especially his buddy Boots, and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters: Stephanie Mikeska and husband Larry of Bellville, Texas, and Donna Field and husband Darren of Rogers, Arkansas; grandchildren: Brianna Noviskie and husband Matt; Russell Coleman, Axel Coleman, Katie Falk, Kortney Falk, all of Bellville, Texas, Max Field, Ethan Field, Channing Field all of Rogers, Arkansas, Caleb Mikeska and wife Colleen of College Station, Texas, Beth Mikeska of Los Angeles, Kara Sowell of Seabrook, and Jenna Brown of College Station; great-grandchildren: Whitley, Hollie, and Wyatt Noviskie of Bellville, and Jason Sowell of Seabrook; sister: Darlene Couvillion and husband Don of Alvin, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, many other family members, and dear friends.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents, John L. and Annie Lou Lynn Hammond; sister Anna Duggan; brother-in-law, Clarence Duggan, and brother, Jim Hammond; and his cat, Boots.
Pallbearers are Russell Coleman, Axel Coleman, Max Field, Ethan Field, Darren Field, Matt Noviskie, Larry Mikeska, and Wyatt Noviskie.
Honorary Pallbearers are Darlene and Don Couvillion, and Caleb Mikeska.
