Suzanne Gaskamp Abel

Suzanne Gaskamp Abel, age 64, of Kyle, Texas passed away July 11, 2023.

Suzanne was born December 7, 1958, in Houston, Texas, to Marvin L. and Wylma (Patrick) Gaskamp.  She grew up in Houston, graduating from Robert E. Lee High School. Suzanne furthered her education at Austin Community College. On April 3, 1979, Suzanne was united in marriage to Albert Abel Jr. at Second Baptist Church in Houston. Together, they lived in Bremerton, Washington before moving to the Austin area in 1982. She was a warm, loving person and was always willing to take care of her family and anyone in need. Suzanne enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and boating, reading, and spending time with friends and family. She also adored her fox terrier, Andie.

She is survived by her husband: Al Abel of Kyle; sisters: Carolyn Carr of Lockhart and Sara Carroll-Downs and husband, Mike, of Buda; and brother: Marvin James Gaskamp and wife, Rhonda, of Houston; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Marvin and Wylma Gaskamp.
