Thornton "Mac" Mcpherson Wagner

Thornton “Mac” McPherson Wagner, 70, of Brookshire, Texas, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2022, in Katy, Texas.

Mac was born May 26, 1952, in Washington, DC, to Carl T. and Betty June (Woodall) Wagner. He grew up in South Dakota. From 1972 to 1978, Mac proudly served as an electronic and crypto equipment systems repairman in the United States Air Force. On October 21, 1972, Mac was united in marriage with Sherry Samuel in Pasadena, Texas. After his service, Mac and Sherry resided off Hilcroft, then in Conroe, before making their home in Brookshire in 1981. He was employed as a computer technician at Xerox for 40 years. In his spare time, Mac enjoyed riding and working on motorcycles, especially Harleys. Mac had a passion for his family and every moment he spent with them. He also passed on his knowledge of working on engines, shooting guns, and getting dirty.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Sherry Wagner of Brookshire; his daughter: Candida “Candy” Wagner of Brookshire; grandchildren: Hunter Wagner and Crystal Chavez and husband, Joe Chavez, Sr.; and great-grandchildren: Isabella Chavez, Santiago Chavez, and Joey Chavez, Jr.

Mac was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Betty Wagner.
