Tiffney Lynn Brooks

At 4:07 pm, Sunday, 2 March 2025, Tiffney Lynn Brooks went to the Rainbow Bridge to pick up her waiting pets on her way to God's Eternal Life. With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Tiffney, who left this world far too soon at the age of 52.

From an early age, Tiffney saw beauty in the world that others might overlook. Whether it was through her painting, crafting, or sketching, her artistry captured the essence of life with grace and emotion. She had an extraordinary ability to breathe soul into her work, leaving behind a legacy of creativity that will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Her love for animals was as boundless as her imagination. Whether caring for a stray in need, volunteering at shelters, or simply sharing her home with a menagerie of beloved pets, she had a deep and abiding connection to all God's creatures great and small.

She had a passion for gardening and thoroughly enjoyed raising vegetables and fruits together with her mother. Both had planned on making a larger garden this year, adding more variety of edibles.

To know Tiffney was to know kindness, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to making the world a gentler place.

Tiffney was born 5 August 1972 at the Naval Hospital on Camp Pendleton, California, the third daughter to Marine Sergeant Howard Ray and Naoko (Kudaka) Brooks. Spending most of her early years in the Ryukyu Islands of Japan, enjoying pristine beaches, camping, and eating great-tasting dishes, Tiffney also lived in California and North Carolina before moving to Hempstead, Texas in 1988.

Attending Department of Defense (DOD) schools from kindergarten through her sophomore grade, she completed her junior and senior years at Hempstead High School.

Her Ryukyu Islands, Japan relatives are grandparents Koyu and Kana (Muroshi) Kudaka, uncles Noboru and Kiyoshi Kudaka, aunts Masako Higa, Hideko Oshiro, Toyoko Kudaka, and Fumiko Higa, as well as many cousins.

U.S. family members are grandparents James H. (Shavey) Brooks and Erna Belle (Brast) Bryant and father and mother Howard R. and Naoko Brooks. Siblings are sisters Deborah A. and brother-in-law James Carney, Tracey L. and brother-in-law Michael Dalley, brother Clint H. Brooks and sister-in-law Marcia, nephew and niece Adam and Alejandra Dalley, nephews Jacob Carney, Jaxon Carney, niece Jessica Dalley, and longtime friend and "adopted" family member, Sue Smirke, an uncle and aunt Ed and Deborah McColl, and cousins Blake McColl and Bree McColl. Lifelong family friends are her "uncle" Stephen and "aunt" Miyoko Harrington and "cousins" Dan and Steve Harrington.

Preceding her to God's Eternal Life are all of her grandparents, her aunt Toyoko Kudaka, and her brother-in-law James Carney.

She was a cherished daughter, sister, friend, and confidante—someone who could make you laugh in your darkest moments and who offered love without hesitation. Her gentle spirit and radiant soul will be profoundly missed, but the beauty she created, both in her art and in the love, she shared, will remain forever. God's animals of the world lost a champion today. We miss her now and forever.

"The Lord is good to all. And his tender mercies are over all His works"
