Tim Gaines Curtner

Tim Gaines Curtner, 89, of Brookshire, Texas, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023.

Tim was born March 3, 1934, in Juliff, Texas, to Mabrey Clyde Curtner and Sadie (Stapleton) Nichols. He grew up in Maridian, Texas, graduating from Meridian High school. Tim proudly served in the United States Army and was awarded a Good Conduct Medal. He moved to Rosharon in 1968 and, in 1985, resided in Hallettsville before making his home in Brookshire in 2014. On May 12, 1998, Tim was united in marriage to Katherine Pringle in Hallettsville, Texas. They were married 20 years before her passing in 2018. He owned his own construction company for many years. Tim treasured every moment he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. In his spare time, Tim enjoyed hunting, flying, classic cars, and reading about history.

He is survived by his daughters:  Timi Russell of Houston, Donna Reynolds of League City, Joy Boulos and husband, Joseph, of Alvin, and Vencie Smith of Houston; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister: Karen Andrus of Brenham; and beloved friend: Ryan Jentzen of Brookshire.

Tim was preceded in death by his wife: Katherine Curtner; grandson: Jacob Davis; father: Mabrey Curtner; mother: Sadie Nichols; stepfather: Eddie Nichols; sister: Agnes Johnson; and brothers: Glen Curtner and Wayne Nichols.
