William "Bill" Robert Miles, Sr.

November 1, 1952 — December 23, 2019

William “Bill” Robert Miles, 67, of Sealy, Texas, passed away Monday, December 23, 2019.

He was born on November 1, 1952, in Houston, Texas. He was the son of Thomas and Victoria Miles. Bill grew up in Deer Park and graduated from Deer Park High School. He then went on to study at San Jacinto Junior College. Bill was united in marriage to Mary LaVeda Miles on November 4, 1978. They resided in Sealy, Texas where Bill was a Sales Representative for Pileco Inc. Bill and LaVeda we’re both active members of Christian City Fellowship and were big fans of the Sealy Tigers.

Bill was a man of many hats. He was a husband, a father, a brother, a Pawpaw and so much more to so many people. He loved hunting, fishing, Houston sports, and serving in his beloved church home. Bill has always had a servant heart and served Jesus and others above himself. He was actively involved in the serve team at Christian City Fellowship, where he served in multiple positions. He was most currently an Usher, but has previously served with the Media Team, the Children’s Ministries and even led his own Bible Study groups alongside his wife, LaVeda. Over the past 41 years, he was a part of six different churches in multiple different states. No matter where life led him, he was always committed to serving the body of Christ.

Just as he served at Church, he likewise served his family and friends. He was a comforter, a mentor, a teacher and a great advisor to all who knew him. Many called him their spiritual father and that he was indeed. To his family, he was so much more; a supporter, a minister, an encourager, and a friend. He loved whole-heartedly and expressed it in more ways than one. He had the best hugs, the warmest smile and was always eager to give his time to those he cared for. As a firm believer in Christ, our family rejoices in the thought that he is walking with the Lord in Heaven. His beloved memory will live on forever in our hearts.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years: Mary LaVeda Miles of Sealy, Texas. His sister: Patricia Miles Ruleman of Bellville, Texas; His brother: Thomas Miles of Caldwell, Texas. His son: William “Chip” Miles and his wife of Conroe, Texas; Granddaughter: Rozlyn Miles of Conroe, Texas; Grandson: Hunter Miles of Conroe, Texas; His son: Randy O’Neal of Milan, Indiana; Grandson: Zakary O’Neal and his wife and children of Saint Paul, Indiana; Grandson Zeth O’Neal and his wife of Osgood, Indiana.
