WILLIAM MICHAEL “MIKE” HOLLOWAY, 66, of Wallis, Texas, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018, in Katy.
He was born April 19, 1952, in Rockdale, Texas, the son of William Wallace and Letha Yvonne (Caffey) Holloway. Mike grew up in the Houston area, graduating from Spring Woods High School, in 1970. He was drafted into the United States Army. Mike was the last group of men to be drafted during Vietnam. After serving his country, he was employed as a clerk with the United States Postal Service for 42 years.
Mike was united in marriage to Glinda Garcia, in Houston, on April 26, 1980. He and Glinda made their home in Wallis, where in his spare time he enjoyed building and riding motorcycles.
Mike is survived by his sons: Michael Wise and his wife, Ashley, of Wallis, and William Joseph Holloway of Houston; grandsons: Jack Wise, Xavier Holloway, and Miles Holloway; sister: Deborah Black and her husband, Jim, of Needville, Shawn Schultz of Hockley, and Carolyn Chisholm of Lubbock. He is also survived by other family and dear friends.
Mike was preceded in death his wife, Glinda Holloway, son, Robert Mauldin, parents, William and Letha Holloway.
