Zachary "Zach" Terrence Hood

ZACHARY “Zach” TERRENCE HOOD , 17, of Bellville, Texas, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020, in Bellville.

He was born January 15, 2003, in Houston, Texas, the son of Susan Marie Heflin Hood and Quentin Terrence Hood.  Zachary grew up and attended schools in Bellville and was excited to start his senior year at Bellville High School.  He was employed at Heflin Water Works in Bellville, where he worked with his Uncle Steven and his cousin Brandon.  Zachary was a dedicated athlete; he played football and soccer, he was involved in Young Life activities, and the Dynamo Youth League. In Zachary’s spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, tending to his aquariums, playing soccer and had a love for living life to the fullest.

Zachary is survived by his mother: Susan Heflin Hood of Bellville; father: Quentin T. Hood of Hempstead; sisters: Shantel Hood of Bryan and Zabrina Hood of Bellville; brother: Stream Hood of Bellville; maternal grandparents: Lonnie and Sally Heflin of Bellville; paternal grandparents: John and Shirley Thompson of Hempstead; paternal great-grandmother: Odell Thompson of South Boston, Virginia; aunts and uncles: Steven and Dorinda Heflin of Bellville, Larry and Kimberly Heflin of New Braunfels; Anthony and Princess Hood of Houston, Michael and Miranda Hood of Cypress, John Marshall and Jackie Thompson of Huntsville, and Jennifer Thompson of Hempstead; and numerous cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
